iPAB Lab Mission Statement
The Loyola interdisciplinary Philosophy and Bioethics Lab (iPAB Lab) strives to promote philosophical research as a collaborative endeavor. Bringing together a group of students from a range of backgrounds and interests, iPAB Lab members bridge gaps between philosophy, bioethics, neuroethics, neuroscience, and psychology, to pave new avenues in philosophical thought. Engagement in a dynamic, team-focused environment provides lab members with opportunities to work closely with peers on targeted projects, receive one-on-one guidance from mentors, develop individual research goals, and provide feedback to their peers. Through a philosophical lens, iPAB Lab facilitates the expansion of members’ personal expertise as well as interdisciplinary scope, with an aim toward attaining specific goals for member progress, professionalization, and preparation for a successful future.
